Anybody know how to remove the faux leather panels on the sides of the centre console, either side of the CD player?

I want to fit a small magnetic phone holder by sliding its legs down between the leather and the carbon look plastic bits but it is obstructed so I want to pop the leather off and see if there's anything I can do behind it.

I assume it just snaps off but don't want to break anything.

Thanks!

You need to use a bone tool, there are three tag type latches holding it in place. Be very careful as the tags aren't very robust.

This photo of anchorman's shows the slots the tags go into.

So just a very gentle 'ease it off' procedure then. Thanks for that.

Any particular locations to attack it from?

If you see the three slots on the photo, then ease the bone tool in next to each one the same amount as possible. The trim will actually swivel up towards the dash.

Brilliant. Thanks for your help. For some reason the photo didn't pop up when I first saw your reply.

I don't suppose anyone can provide a link to the thread that the above photo comes from can they? - I've searched and searched but can't track it down.

Thanks in advance.
