Check the Aircon works and what warranty they are going to give you, is it a Mazda dealer?

nearly there ,expect to pick up Friday.

a few simple questions , can you switch ignition on to play with sat nav etc or does engine have to run.

does the sub woofer magnet in the boot cause issues with storing laptop and phones , credit cards - ouch could be nasty

hoping to fit armster ,armrest - any good..

thanks , chris

I also looked at the 500X prior to buying the CX-3, You won't regret it :-)

You can switch on ignition without turning on the engine.
If it's an auto, just press the start button once (or twice) without touching the brake.
On a manual I think it's the same, just without touching the clutch.

I haven't had any issues with storing my laptop (or creditcards) in a bag in the boot.

Yes, you can switch the ignition to the ACCessory position without starting the engine. The engine only starts by pressing the Start/Stop push button while depressing the clutch pedal (manual gearbox) or the brake pedal (automatic gearbox). Without depressing the pedal, each time the Start/Stop engine push button is pressed, the ignition switches in the order of OFF, ACC, and ON. Pressing the push button again from ON switches the ignition off.

I doubt the magnet in the subwoofer is big enough to cause any issues with laptops & credit cards.

No personal experience of the armster armrest.

I wouldn’t recommend the Armster. Mazda one has a proper support bracket to take the weight. Easy to fit too, if you follow anchorman’s excellent instructions.

I have Diamondbrite on my MX5, it is an excellent finish and it doesn't need polishing, just wash and dry and it will sparkle. I had it done by the dealer at a discounted price when negotiating the original purchase and trade in. What I would say, is that if you are doing it yourself make sure there are no swirls left in the paintwork before you apply it, because you won't be able to remove them afterwards.

I put the Armster v2 in my CX3. It has a degree of flex as it doesn't have a frame like the Mazda one, but unless you are going to put your whole weight on it I cant see it being an issue. The actual unit itself is good quality and dooes everything you'd want an armrest to do. Fitted in about 10 minutes without needing to take the console apart. I'm happy with it, and only £85.00.
