Hi

Currently on Amazon they are selling Yuasa YBX7005 12V 65Ah 620A EFB Start Stop Battery for £127.18 delivered via Prime, is this a good price? My car is now 7 years old and still on the original battery, with winter coming I'm thinking it might be prudent to change it now, any thoughts?

Thanks

If it's the original Yuasa then you can top up the chambers with distilled water to the recommended levels and you will increase the life of the battery.

I changed our battery at 7 years old as I was getting stop start errors and other electrical gremlins which are usually the signs of a failing battery. I paid about the same for Varta battery so that price sounds about right.

If you are looking for peace of mind, might be worth changing it before winter.

It would be extremely lucky to still be on a fully functional battery beyond 7 years. Lots of people cross their fingers and wait for the dreaded non start click but my experience was quite a few odd mini electrical behaviours and warning lights which cleared utterly with a new installation.
If you can save a few £pounds-just go for it now, rather than wait for the deep mid winter.
