Hi Everyone,

My partner and I purchased our CX-3 round about covid time having previously part exchanged her Mazda 2 over 5 years ago. Not many issues and I'm sure like most here a really enjoyable car to drive.

Quick question: With the car now 7 years old, 61k miles on the clock (Mainly driven around the highlands in Scotland with the occasional venture to Perth) I'm keen to learn is this a good time to switch to a lower mileage version of the CX-3 whilst they are still around and if not what can we expect going forwards given the good service history that we maybe ought to plan for.

We looked at the CX-30 but didn't feel it was a car we would like from what we have seen when comparing to the CX-3 and the only other non-mazda alternatives, as we don't want the CX-5 as its too large for our needs, are the Nissan Juke, or the Citroen C3 Aircross.

Appreciate you thoughts especially if in similar position of stick or change being considered, thank you, Pete

One of key reasons to keep a car is how reliable it is. Looks like you’ve got a good one. I don’t reckon you’d get more than around £7k on part exchange though but I may be wrong.
I’d stick, buy 4 new tyres, give the brakes a thorough check and put the vehicle through a full service. I’d buy some new front car mats, plus give the car a thorough valet inside and out.
Keep the vehicle for at least another 2 years. Its a devil you know!

Mine has just gone past 100k miles. It got it' next service on Saturday - £ 434.77.
There is nothing out there that I would want to exchange it for. It's been 100% reliable.
