Hi
My partner has just bought a 67 plate 1.5 aport nav diesel on Saturday, lovely car. The Spanner light came on this morning saying oil level too high. I'm getting in touch with the garage she bought it from, from what I've read it's just an oil change needed, hopefully this is right, but I wanted it recording with them.
Seen a lot of useful info on here already.

Oil level at X is usually from repeated failed DPF regens when the car has regularly been driven for lots of short journeys. These engines need a decent 20-25 minute journey at least once a week to allow the DPF to regen successfully.Yorkhawk wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 6:13 pm Hi

There is an oil life monitor under the maintenance section of the infotainment system. When the OLM gets to zero then the orange spanner comes on telling you to change the oil.
These engines are a bit needy and don't like lots of short journeys. I would recommend both Redex injector cleaner and Redex DPF cleaner every 3rd tank of fuel. They are both currently half price in Tesco's (£2.50 & £5)
