Hi

I have not used a fuel system cleaner on my car (2017 petrol 120bhp) since I bought it 5 years ago, and wondered if there would be any benefits in using one, and any recommendations please.

I'm getting around 38-40mpg, mostly town driving.

TIA

Seems I've answered my own question, taken from the user manual..

USE ONLY UNLEADED FUEL.
Leaded fuel is harmful to the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors and will lead to
deterioration of the emission control system and or failures.
The use of E10 fuel with 10 % ethanol in Europe is safe for your vehicle. Damage to
your vehicle may occur when ethanol exceeds this recommendation.
Never add fuel system additives, otherwise the emission control system could be
damaged. Consult an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer
for details.

Has anyone used a cleaner?

I seem to remember once being in a Mazda main dealer and being offered this service and declined. Most types of cleaner such as STP or Redex are perfectly safe and will do no harm. The alternative is try some super unleaded fuel once in a while.

Thanks Percy247, it's good idea using premium fuel.
