I had a the passenger wing mirror replaced as it did not fold (cx-3 2016 diesel)
A new one from Madza now folds.
But to get the glass adjusted to the correct position means it is angled all the way in, and I can only just see the edge of the car. The glass is angled so far in, there is a massive gap between the glass and housing....definitely not right.
When the glass is in the neutral position in the housing it shows the car next to me!
The housing seems to be fitted correctly, and it looks the same as the one that came off (and the drivers side one).
If the housing is on a form of cog mechanism, it seems as though it just needs to come in one more when fully opened.
Any suggestions please (& apologies I am not very technical minded)?
Thanks.

I am guessing a garage fitted the new mirror. If so why did they not check that the mirror operates correctly. It sounds to me like the mirror glass is fitted incorrectly. You have paid good money, so take it back to the garage and get them to do the job properly.
