Good afternoon all. My CX3 is now 9 yrs old, and only done about 33000 miles.
Is there anything that will soon have to be done in its nxt major service? I.e timing belt/ water pump etc? I know certain things get done at 10 yrs old.
Thanks
Kris
Service schedule.
The service schedule seems to only go up to the 9th year. The next major service would be at 12yrs old. Presume you would start back at the 12mth one for the 10th yr. Here's a copy of the schedule :-
It does state the engine coolant needs to be changed after 125,000 miles or 10 years. Plus exhaust system and heat shields should be inspected every 50,000 miles or 5 years. No mention of timing chain, with your mileage I presume it should be hardly worn. There is no mention of water pump, again would be mileage dependent?

My CX3 is 7 years old, has done 29000 miles and is now serviced by an independent garage.
I leave it up to the garage to decide what needs replacing and when , however as a guide I have tended to have a major service every 2 years and an interim service between.
The MOT is now a good guide to what needs replacing and I’m quite confident my garage would point out or alert me with sensible recomendations.
Last year for example they pointed out “rusty brake pipes” which I asked them to replace, damaged rear tyres( potholes) and front brake shoes. Sensible maintenance.
